In reality I have started writing several blogs that were intended to be deep and meaningful and what have you, but they arent quite complete.
I think Ill skip the deep and meaningful for now and just give a quick update.
I guess since I am a photographer, I can start with some of the non-work related things Ive been doing. And by non work related i mean the work I do on the side.
Well I guess the biggest news is that I got an exclusive photography contract with No Love Entertainment and Reality Combat, the South's premiere MMA organization. I have worked with them before but now I will be covering all of their shows and working much more closely with the organization. My first show with them will be this weekend in Slidell, LA followed by another one the following weekend in Biloxi, MS. Im excited to be working with the organization on this new front.
Next up is Grant Terry

Grant is a local musician with far from local talent. Right now he is doing a show in Alabama and then as soon as he gets back flying out to L.A. for a show. He has one 5 song CD out with a full length on the way. I was honored to have a photoshoot with him for his marketing and upcoming CD and these are just a couple from the shoot. Also this third photo was a collaboration of myself and videographer/designer Ben Boutwell that is still being worked on as a poster/flyer.
Next up on the list is something ive done really more for just personal interest and knowledge since I didnt get paid. I have been accuiring various peices needed to mount and remotley fire a camera from places that you cant normaly just stand, such as a basketball goal, so here is my first shoot using the technology.

This was alot of fun but I know there is still much more to learn.
Last, but far from least, Is the weekend I just finished in LaGrange, Kentucky.
It was quite a day getting there and I wont bore with all the details but 3 flights, 2 airlines, and 12 hours later, I landed in Cincinatti instead of Louisville.
But when in Rome.... so we went to a Reds game. My first Pro baseball game. (Hard to believe I know)

We had alot of fun and I, of course, had my camera.

Hey, if youve got it, flaunt it....And to close this thing out, one of the people I got to spend time with while in Kentucky is a my friend Sara.

Sara and I met in 2004 when we spent about 9 weeks together in Australia. We were joined at the hip for those 9 weeks and even though weve gotten back and live pretty far apart, she is still one of my favorite people of all time. She gets mentioning in this post, not just becuase of the reconnect in Kentucky, but because she is about to leave for Brasil for 2 years to do some wonderful Humanitarian/Missions work . I wont see her again before she leaves, but was glad to get to spend time and have a change to catch up and say our goodbye for nows.
Shes an amazing person so please pray for her and her work that she will be doing during that time and if Im lucky, she'll let me come visit her and I can update the world on her progress.
And what a public sporting event with out a crazy preacher man outside yelling at you....
Im Donald Page,And thats they way it is.

Donald congrats on all the fun and exciting things going on with your work! (work meaning photography in any sense) I'm so proud of you! What's really funny is that just before I went to read your post I was thinking about how I've never been to a pro baseball game before, and how I would like to go to one and eat a hot dog. Did you have one? The hot dog just seems like an important part of the experience. Just sayin'.
